Ivan Hessbrook

Ivan was born into a modest, blue-collar family in San Antonio with a proud German & Latino heritage. He and his brother Mark began working in their fathers construction company pouring concrete during middle school. They grew up in the construction industry and as young adults began managing heavy construction projects in south Texas in the Hessbrook family business.
Ivan is relentless, a tireless competitor, a family man, mentor and servant leader who takes care of his Bustamante employees and customers. He embraces risks that other contractors are simply not wired for. He has been a frequent subcontractor of Turner Construction, with complex project assignments across central Texas, and has delivered value for K-12 school districts, USAA, Webber, Marriott, and Texas hotel developers as Hilton franchisees.
He is a proud husband, a generous brother, a grateful father to his kids and grandkids. He started Bustamante Construction in 2015 and with his daughter Bianca and together they built a portfolio of work relying on a team project managers and diverse tradesmen. Tradesmen who are not subcontractors, but on the Bustamante payroll throughout the year as W-2 employees. Bustamante has enjoyed higher margins than what is common due to the decision to build a team of tradesmen with multiple skills which keeps the construction process inside of Bustamante. Other contractors outsource 50 trades on each project which limits the leverage a contractor can employ for mitigating risks, managing project scheduling / delivery, controlling cost and maximizing margins earned.
Ivan is a valuable partner of Unrivaled Development Group always informing the other limited partners with strategic input. The formation of Bustamante Partners creates a new focus and expansion for Ivan and Bianca as the general construction partner of Unrivaled Development Group.
